“Alexander is the ultimate professional. You won’t find a more knowledgeable physical therapist. After working with him, I’m pain free and stronger in areas that needed work.”

— Tricia S.

“Alexander did an excellent job diagnosing the issue, creating a personalized recovery plan, and pacing the progression to match my own recovery timeline. Not only is my shoulder largely pain-free now, but the exercises he recommended have made me feel stronger and more stable than pre-injury.”

— Ryan L.

“Alexander has helped me recover from rotator cuff surgery including a bicep reattachment. Super knowledgeable and flexible with busy people, Alexander has brought me back to pain free exercise and moving forward with a better understanding what to do and not to do. Highly recommended.”

— Robert T.

Precision Health is on a mission to change the healthcare experience in the Kansas City Metro.

Most physical therapists got into this work to help people move and feel better — not to chase productivity quotas or juggle four patients an hour. Precision Health is built differently.
One specialist, one patient, one full hour. Full focused attention for faster results.
The way it should be.

You'll receive exclusively 1-on-1 care, with clear pricing, flexible scheduling, and direct access to your provider by text or email — no front desk, no phone tree, just a real response from the person coaching you.

Meet Your PT

Dr. Alexander Smith, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS, USAW-1, FDN-1, EMR
Owner, Lead Physical Therapist

Alexander is one of the Kansas City metro's few residency-trained, Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialists — a credential held by roughly 1% of physical therapists nationwide*. He completed his sports residency with UW Health, the University of Wisconsin, and the Badger Athletic Performance Lab, where he spent four years training under nationally recognized clinicians, working with hundreds of youth, collegiate, and professional athletes, and completing research on ACL-reconstruction and muscle performance.

Before earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at KU Medical Center, Alexander worked with K-State Athletics' Strength & Conditioning department and was selected as an inaugural Bill Snyder Leadership Legacy Fellow. During his doctorate, he worked with EXOS Sports Performance, taught graduate-level cadaver anatomy, treated patients in KU Hospital's Level 1 trauma center, and helped launch a pro bono PT clinic at Wyandotte High School — work that earned him the Jayhawk Impact Award.

During his residency, he also served as Lead Medical and PT for the Madison Mavericks semi-pro basketball team. He has presented at local, state, and national conferences on ACL-reconstruction rehab, muscle performance after injury, knee and tendon pathology, and return-to-sport testing.

Beyond the clinic, he holds additional certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), USA Weightlifting Level 1 coach (USAW-L1), Functional Dry Needling provider (FDN-1), and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR).

Outside of work, Alexander stays active, plays guitar, follows Formula 1 and KC sports, and spends time with friends and his dog, Gigi.
